YouTube #VoteIRL

Social, TVC

For the 2016 elections YouTube enlisted Vice to help tackle widespread Voting inertia within a demographic who felt their voice didn’t matter in the real world.

In 2016 YouTube’s creative community was at its most Vibrant. Vlogging went mainstream - the likes of Bethany Mota, Hannah Hart, Hank Green had amassed millions of followers. We were tasked with rallying their huge fan bases away from their keyboards and to the polling stations. Our solution was to bring together the most recognized YouTube celebrities and arm them with knowledge and the tools to encourage their fans to #VoteIRL.

We created a variety of films tailored for Vices’ different audiences, as well as targeting them with politically relevant information and editorials, Barrak Obama even took part to help spread the #VoteIRL message.
